Fan trip 3 to the 2025 Ice Hockey World Championship in Herning, May 9-13

Five days of travel, four nights, and four games await you on this fan trip to Herning. This small town is an insider tip for major events in the heart of Danish Jutland. For the second time since 2018, it will host the Ice Hockey World Championship. From May 9, there will be a party atmosphere on the pretty promenade, in the surprisingly large number of restaurants and pubs, and in the smaller fan zone. Another highlight is sure to be the Jyske Bank Boxen Arena, where all the Swiss Group B games will take place.

Our 3* hotel is located in the center of Herning, close to the pedestrian zone. It offers 52 bright, comfortably furnished rooms, a breakfast restaurant, and a bar. The bus/train station for transfers to the Boxen Arena is only a few minutes' walk away.

Family-run 3* hotel (motel) for uncomplicated guests. 56 rather small, renovated, clean rooms, breakfast room, lounge with gin bar. Conveniently located on the outskirts of town, it is only a 5-minute walk to the Herning Centret shopping center and about a 20-minute walk to the city center. Bus station nearby.

Jyske Bank Boxen

The games will be played in the modern Jyske Bank Boxen Arena in front of over 10,500 spectators. The arena opened in 2010 as Denmark's first multi-purpose arena and hosted the Ice Hockey World Championships in 2018. FC Midtjylland's stadium is located next to the arena. The arena is located just outside the city to the south and can be easily reached from the city center by public transport.
