4 days of travel, 3 nights, and 3 games await you on our short trip to Herning. This small town is an insider tip for major events in the heart of Jutland, Denmark. For the second time since 2018, it will host the Ice Hockey World Championship. From May 9, there will be a party atmosphere on the pretty promenade, in the surprisingly large number of restaurants and pubs, and in the smaller fan zone. Another highlight is sure to be the Jyske Bank Boxen Arena, where all the Swiss Group B games will take place.

Aiden by Best Western

The Aiden by Best Western is a "modular" hotel in the upper mid-range category with modern furnishings. What it says on the website is true: "Everything you need, nothing you don't want." Much of the hotel is digitised, yet it still feels cozy. The rooms are all similarly equipped and offer a high level of comfort. There is a restaurant (mainly for breakfast), a small bar area with a pool table, a fitness room, and a sauna. Herning city center can be reached by train in about 7 minutes or by bus in about 20 minutes. On game days, we provide a shuttle bus to and from the arena.

Jyske Bank Boxen

The games will be played in the modern Jyske Bank Boxen Arena in front of over 10,500 spectators. The arena opened in 2010 as Denmark's first multi-purpose arena and hosted the Ice Hockey World Championships in 2018. FC Midtjylland's stadium is located next to the arena. The arena is located just outside the city to the south and can be easily reached from the city center by public transport.

Herning

Herning is located in the middle of Jutland and has a population of approximately 50,000. The city is an important industrial and cultural center, known nationwide for trade fairs and major events at the Jyske Bank Boxen Arena. Herning is home to the HEART Museum of Modern Art and the FC Midtjylland football club. The pretty pedestrian zone invites you to stroll around, and the surprisingly large number of restaurants and cozy pubs invite you to linger. This is where the party is happening!
