Journey

Your team will fly comfortably from an airport of your choice to Alicante or Valencia. The flight time is approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes. The transfer from Alicante Airport to the Melia Villaitana Resort takes about 40 minutes. The transfer from Valencia Airport takes a little longer: the journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Please note that there is an additional charge for transfers to/from Valencia Airport.

Top football pitches right in front of the hotel 

The greenkeepers at Marbella Football Center maintain the natural grass pitches and annex with a wealth of experience and passion. Every winter, professional teams also hold their soccer training camps at Mélia Villaitana. In 2023 and 2024, FC Lugano, a Swiss Super League club, prepared for the second half of the season here. Right next to the pitches, your team has access to a high-performance gym. 

Region Alicante and Benidorm 

The Meliá Villaitana Resort is approximately a 40-minute drive from Alicante Airport. On the day of arrival, training is usually still possible in the afternoon. Once you have arrived at the hotel, no further transfers are necessary, unless you are traveling outside the resort for a test match or for an excursion to Benidorm, Alicante, or Valencia, which is a little further away.
